Springbank Spiritual Retreat Reflection
From the moment we rolled onto the sacred grounds of Springbank, we could feel it: the holy, timeless energy of the land welcoming us in. I was excited to witness what our next soulful retreat would unveil.
Breaking Bread and Beginning
The hush of the trees, the softness of the air, and the gentle spaciousness around us all signaled that we had stepped out of everyday life and into something truly magical. We began by breaking the ice as we broke bread together, sharing stories, laughter, and intentions.
That first meal set the tone for the weekend—a circle of safety, nourishment, and connection where all of us were invited to arrive exactly as we were. Our first session gently guided us into the neurobiology of emotions: what happens in your brain and body when you feel triggered, shut down, or deeply alive.
Finding the Soul and the Pursuit of Healing
As we continued our dive deep during this soulful retreat, we flowed into attachment theory and explored why we do the things we do in relationships—how our earliest patterns of bonding can shape our present-day reactions, needs, and defenses.
We then traveled from the heaviness of the dreaded Drama Triangle into the freedom of the Empowerment Dynamic, learning to shift from victim, persecutor, and rescuer into creator, challenger, and coach.
Uncovering the Ego
Along the way, we explored the difference between Self energy—the calm, compassionate, wise center of who we are—and the many parts of us that carry stories, roles, and protective strategies. Through guided meditative journeys and light code activations throughout the healing retreat, each participant began to craft and glimpse their own gorgeous internal landscape—to reconnect with the “little one within,” that wise inner child who holds both our earliest memories and our keys to freedom.
Creating and Collages
The weekend culminated in a quantum leap of creativity and intention: our soul collages. These visual prayers and living altars became a way of telling the universe more clearly what we are ready to invite in—what we are calling forward in our healing, relationships, purpose, and joy.
As we return to our everyday lives, my invitation is simple: don’t let one weekend retreat become just a beautiful memory. Let it become a living practice, one that extends beyond this spiritual retreat and into your everyday life.
A Wise Nugget to Carry Forward for Every Spiritual Retreat Participant
Healing isn’t about becoming someone new; it’s about remembering who you’ve always been, beneath the fear, the roles, and the stories — the YOU before the world got its hands on you and told you who you should be. Your Self energy was there before the wounds, and it’s still there now—calm, clear, compassionate, and deeply capable of leading your life.
The field created at Springbank, South Carolina doesn’t end at the edge of the property. It lives in each one of us and in the web between us when we first enter that space. When you feel alone, picture someone from our soulful retreat circle breathing through something very similar, right alongside you in spirit. And remember, there’s always another spiritual retreat around the bend!
These retreats aren’t for the faint of heart.
They require courage, vulnerability, and your willingness to do this sacred inner work. And ya know what? I think you’ve got it in you. Explore our Summer Wellness Retreat coming up this summer. I’m so excited to share in a beautiful healing transformation alongside you.
